Always happy to share Brayden Rudert's videos here. This is one he shot and edited from his trip to Nica
last summer. This edit features a handful of local Hampton locals. Kody Grondin, Matt Colby, Mikel Evans,
and Max Fatello. The video is cool and so is the music. And boy couldn't we all use warm tropical water.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
THE PATRIOTS ARE STILL AFC EAST CHAMPS BUT DROPPED TO THIRD PLACE IN THE AFC CONFERENCE AFTER A DEVASTATING LOSS TO THE COLTS LAST NIGHT.
BUT WHO CARES? IT'S CHRISTMAS!

OK. I admit I get a little soft around the Holidays. This is a pic of our older dog Patch when he was a puppy . This pic was taken 11yrs ago. He came home on November 22nd, 2010 as an 8 week old GSP (German Shorthair Pointer). He's been a great family dog, and an amazing bird dog. He's still both. Though his hearing is starting to go. But his nose? That nose is as strong as it was 11 years ago. We all know what we buy into when we bring our pets home for the first time. And none of us, and I mean NONE of us, would trade a single second of our time with them. Patch here has sired 18 puppies. 9 males and 9 females. Patchy is the father of 18!
We have his first born male Zorro. He will be turning two in March. And boy did that go by quickly. I know it's not me when I say "That time seems to accelerate the older you get." It's true. It's like someone keeps hitting the fast forward button all the time. Whereas us older folks keep trying to hit the pause button. It don't work that way. This is Zorro this morning with our granddaughter Brylee. He doesn't seem to mind wearing the Santa hat.
He's a good boy. He's just like his dad when it comes to being a good family dog and a great bird dog. I am truly blessed.
This last week saw some pretty amazing community events.
Starting with the Birthday parade for young Evan Austin. Though I was not around for the parade, I heard all about it. Evan, or as he is affectionately known in the community, "SUPER EVAN" turned 8yrs old on Friday December 17th, 2021. Evan was the GRAND MARSHALL in the Christmas parade a couple of weeks ago. Evan has a rare disease called DIPG.
Some of you might remember last summer when I Blogged about Nash Rogers. He was the little boy who who had DIPG.
If you don't know what that is I suggest you Google it, or better yet click on the images below to find out more
about it, and what you can do to help out.
This community came together in a Big way to help the Austin family out.
And really isn't that what the holidays are all about? Helping those who are suffering and less fortunate than you and I. Giving at the Holidays is one of Life's greatest feelings. I hope and pray that children like Evan and their families find a cure for this disease so that no other families have to suffer.
Happy Birthday SUPER EVAN! And MERRY CHRISTMAS!
This the Rogers family. They lost their little boy Nash last summer to DIPG.
But like so many others who have lost a child to this disease, they have turned their grief into something more positive. They have become warriors for other families going through the same experience that they went through. God Bless Them All. Think of the Rogers family this Christmas and think of the Austin family too. And think about what you can do to help them out.
Saturday December 18th, 2021 the local McGrail family in Hampton along with members of Post 35 and the community placed wreaths on all the veterans graves in the High Street Cemetery. There is a photo gallery down in the photo section and a
video is coming in the next few days.
I love this Seacoast community. There are more people doing good things here, then there are bad people doing bad things.

This is a pic of Tony Berardini from October 24th, 2008. I remember this session very well. It was just Tony and I for the longest time out there. Ed was on the beach getting some memorable pics of us that day. Tony's birthday is this Christmas Eve. Happy 75th my brother! You and Jesus are two of my favorites. Photo by Ed O'Connell

NOW FOR SOME LOCAL AND NATIONAL NEWS
The NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS lost a heartbreaking game last night to the COLTS. After beating the BUFFALO BILLS last Monday Night in a crazy weather related game. Mac Jones and company came up short last night in what started out as a lopsided game for the Patriots. They dug themselves into a deep hole early in the first quarter, and had to play from behind the whole game. It was ugly.
But nothing was as ugly as Bill Belichick's postgame interview.
Look, everyone knows I'm a huge fan of both Bill and the team.
I bleed Red, White, and Blue Patriots. But man is he ever the grumpiest individual to ever hold a post game interview or what? I cringe when I hear some trembling poor sports reporter ask him a legit question. If looks could kill? There would be a few dozen dead reporters in that room last night. Hey Coach? They are DOING THEIR JOB!. They have to ask those tough questions. And you, (believe it or not) have to answer them. So give them a break and try and be more civil. We're paying your salary.
There was 2:10 left in the game when the Colts had the ball. All they had to do was stop them, and get the ball back and kick a FG to send it into OT. But Taylor, their insanely talented running back ran through two of our best defensive players. Donta Hightower and Devin McCourty. He ran right past them.
Click on the images to see a larger version.
This should have been an easy tackle and stop for these two players. But Taylor is anything but normal. He's the best running back in the NFL.
But to run right past these two? Hightower and McCourty?
This is one of those runs that you so badly want back.
Once he got through the line he was gone. Nobody was going to catch him. Nobody.
Jackson was the last one with any chance of stopping him. But Taylor turned on the jets and was long gone. We had a chance. But like I said, we were playing from behind the whole game.
It's on to Buffalo next week.
And this game is looming big.
We're still in first place in the AFC East. Take a deep breath.
My dear friend and Gold Star Mother Nat Healy from Exeter has opened a really cool Thrift Store directly across the street from the American Legion. Stop by from Thursday to Saturday and check out some of her really cool inventory.
Drop by and say hello to Nat Healy at 72 High Street, Hampton, NH directly across from the AMERICAN LEGION Post 35.
And PLEASE tell her that I said hello and God Bless.

KSM Photoshop of the Week
I can't help myself. I see things that make me chuckle and want to share them with you. This looks like a scene right out of DRIVING MISS CRAZY or HERE COMES THE CRAZY BUS. We all need to smile and chuckle every now and then. Though it's always plain to see, that KSM is not one for seeing the bright side of life.
And so my friends, please take advantage of this weekly photo shop of the mastermind who planned 9-11 and resulted in the deaths of 3,000 innocent civilians by KSM (Khalid Sheik Mohammed).
*Note to self -must pick up a case of Depends at
Home Depot this week.
REST IN PEACE Mike Oliver. I hope he's reunited with his three
chocolate labs again. He loved and missed those dogs so much.

Yesterday- ALLEN BIGBEE CROSS STEPPING HIS WAY
INTO THE FUTURE! FALL 2002.
(Below) This classic photo of Allen Bigbee was sent in by one of Maine's Surf historians Jerry Law. I love getting "Real mail" from Jerry. He actually writes me with a pen and ink. It's a throw back to a time when that was how we communicated. I have friends in California who used to write me and I would write to them. It's a dying art, but I have to say, I always love reading his letters. And...I save every one of them. So thank you Jerry. And Merry Christmas to you my friend. One of these days we are going to share a few waves together. So stay healthy brother. Photo by Jerry Law

I kept a daily Blog on my CATCH A WAVE FOR MOLLY surf campaign, when I surfed every single day for 365 consecutive days. Click on the Banner above to read entries of my daily journey. There's some really interesting and true experiences
that happened during that year. Some of which are to this day, unexplainable. Some are just mind blowing. But all true.
I started on July 26th, 2010 and ended on July 26th, 2011.
Some rainy Sunday, pour yourself a cup and go through the journal.
Pay close attention to the month of May in 2011. Read that month and let me know what you think of that. Be forewarned it will change you forever.
